The Ouachita Parish Public Works Department is a Waste Tire Collection Center. To dispose of waste tires you must come to 337 Well Road in West Monroe between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The regulations governing waste tire disposal are state law and are administered by the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality.
Each collection center shall accept no more than five unmanifested tires per day per customer. The collection center shall maintain a log for all unmanifested loads. The log for all unmanifested loads shall include, at the minimum, the following:
- the name and address of the customer
- the number of tires received
- the time; the date
- the signature of the customer delivering the tires
