To the Child

The program of Green Oaks Juvenile Detention Center is geared to help the total child and the many complex influences upon his delinquent status. The child's interest is served by providing him with constructive activities, which challenges his interests and has educational or moral values. Further, the child is given guidance, which enables him to use the detention experience to understand himself better, so that he will be in a position to adequately handle his problems. While in detention, the child's physical, mental, and spiritual needs are a major concern. Program goals are geared toward introducing the child into contact with people who are as concerned with his future and well being as his being within the laws of society.
