Juvenile Records

      Juvenile records shall be retained in accordance with State and/or Federal regulations. All juvenile records shall be stamped "confidential" on the cover or outside folder. Juvenile records shall be kept in locked areas and shall be directly supervised. Employees shall not disclose or knowingly permit the disclosure or any information concerning the juvenile or his/her family, directly or indirectly, to any unauthorized person. Peace officers, probation officers, counsel representing the child, the district attorney, authorized officers of the court, and the OHHR licensing personnel shall have access to the records.

Confidentiality:
Section 408 of Public 92-255 provides absolute confidentiality of records that contain information about juveniles.
